Last month we began the release of Ed Patrick: Comedians' Surgery, and we may be biased, but really - we can't recommend it enough. However, for those of you who haven't yet had the chance to tune in, here's a little more information about the up and coming podcast.
Ed Patrick is a junior doctor by day, and, well a junior doctor by night because the hours are s**t, but in his spare time he gigs as a stand up comedian, talking all things health, from amusing anecdotes to gritty realities. This podcast came into fruition after Ed's show went down a treat at The Fringe last year.
Ed's winning formula is simple and very repeatable. Each week he invites a fellow comedian to the stage to record the podcast in front of a live audience. So far we've heard from an all star cast, including names like: Andy Hamilton, Joe Lycett, Angela Barnes and James Acaster among all host of others, and with many more to come. So far nothing has been off limits, with discussions covering everything from bowel movements to alopecia, and in our opinion the show just keeps getting better. If you haven't already, please subscribe to the podcast using your preferred podcatcher and leave Ed a review - it really does help!
If you're interested in hearing the podcast recorded live, why not pop down to the Canal Cafe Theatre in Little Venice, where you can find Ed and his featured comedy guest on stage once a month (...and no we are not in cahoots with the Canal Cafe, the boat theme is just a coincidence, but a happy one!).
If you want to hear more of Ed talking about his wonderful new show, tune into BBC Radio 5 Live at 3:30pm today, where Bilal Zafar will be interviewing Ed during The Unmissables segment of the Afternoon Edition!
Congratulations Ed on a fantastic release - looking forward to seeing where this show goes!
